ha, i went to Mr Creative's house. er ya, the guy that makes your zen. actually not exactly his house, but his brother's house. apparently he bought the next door house too. er my god sister married Mr creative's brother. so i claim fame to be his god-sister-in-laws. right.
the house is quite simple if you think about the thousands of zen vision, zen micros that are bought each month. but right, it is filled with so much technology. it will excite sarah. i saw 4 computers in the home for 4 person- all flat screen monitors, sound system in place. and there were creative mini players lying around in unused guest rooms. then there were music mixers, lots of creative sound systems. i think you can see one every 10 paces you take. and lots of tvs too. he seems to like samsung. and for the musical instruments- it is yamaha. there were pianoS, guitarS, violin lying around. and all were yamaha. even the grand.
BUT the most fascinating sight to behold was my godsis' son. he stared into his computer screen for most of the evening. if you meet him somewhere else where he does not have abundance of computers, he stares into space. he is the first and only younger boy i find highly fascinating. i think it is because he looks every bit like the brooding sorts. anyway, he is quite a talented pianist and so his mum's most essential entertaining weapon. there is something quite attractive about a boy ( in his berms and t-shirt) sitting in front of the grand with his fingers floating over the keys. he is shy in every aspect except when it comes to performing on the piano. he did the performance as though as it was a daily chore that he has gotten too used to perform and have ceased to complain. he sat down, smsing and waiting for his audience to settle, spread out his music sheets and tapped on a few keys on the grand. then he began his piece and finished it without any effort. not acknowledging the applause, he stood up and went back to his computer, leaving his audience to buzz about his talent. yes yes, it is the indifference, the lack of effort, yet the appreciation of the music exhibited by the swaying of his body to his own music combined that made it such a fascinating show.! i am quite enchanted tonight- not by him, but by this whole show.
anyway. brooding young pianist aside, i have discovered my own version of filial piety. that is at every gathering my mum brings me to, i should dress up very well. well is defined as demure, yet showing off some er assets. so that my mum can beam so much that she can light up the hall with her face when people say things like: wah, your daughter, so pretty, can be model. or wah, her legs so long (i wore a mini skirt today) then right, the next part is important too- smile and not speak when all the aunties say you are pretty and let your mum do all the speaking. works all the time. so at the end of the day, they will always say to my mum: your daughter, so pretty and obedient. then she will beam so much that she can light up the entire house. now now, what a perfect evening. haha. see filial piety?
